Last year, we conducted our 16th annual survey, and we heard from 2,600 principals, producers, and customer service reps. The quantitative survey centers on agents’ perceptions of carriers as well as marketplace issues. For example, we learned that commercial lines-focused agencies were significantly more likely (87%) to grow than personal lines-dominant firms (73%). More firms said they use a small business quoting platform such as Tarmika or Semsee.
